DONOVAN MCNABB to the REDSKINS????? written by Ronald Carthen

Donovan McNabb traded to the Washington Redskins for a second round pick (37th) in this month's NFL draft and a third or fourth round pick next year. You can't be serious?

You traded a 33-year old quarterback, who is in his prime, to a team in the NFC East, your own division!!!! Did these guys not learn anything from the Brett Favre situation? The Green Bay Packers traded Favre to the Jets, then a year later he signs with the Vikings two weeks after training camp and torched the Packers twice last season. McNabb is motivated to play for Mike Shanahan in DC and can't wait to get some pay back after putting in work for the Eagles franchise.

The man has been to five NFC Championships, led the team to the Super Bowl in 2004, made the pro bowl six times, and the all-time franchise leader in yards passing (32,873), completions (2,801), attempts (4,746), completion percentage (59.0) and touchdown passes (216). He also rushed for 3,249 yards and 28 TDs.

Now you want Kevin Kolb to carry the Eagles torch and lead them to the promise land, come on man!!!! Kevin isn't ready to face the Philly fans when he has a bad game. I can't wait until he throws three interceptions and fans shout "We want Donovan!!!!!" He's not built to be a quarterback for this team, you watch and see. Don't expect Michael Vick to help them either. I don't see him coming in every snap and taking this team to the playoffs.

Do I think the Redskins will win the division? I don't think so. If the skins want to make the playoffs next year, they have to do something about their offensive line. Jason Campbell, who's about to be done in DC, was sacked 43 times behind that horrible o-line last year, second most in the league behind Ben Roethlisberger and Aaron Rodgers. If this team doesn't fix that this year, then McNabb is done and you know he can't play a whole season these days.

I hope I see McNabb and the Redskins play the Eagles in Philly on a Sunday night or Monday night stage. You would be insane to pass up a national television opportunity. One thing is for sure, I'll be rooting for him very hard to beat his former team and prove to them that they made a huge mistake. Get ready for a long season Eagles fans!!!!!

Oh, boy I cannot wait for this season to start. I am a hardcore Giants fan and I am anxious to see the Eagles fall on their face for this one. Out of all the teams in the division, the Eagles were my least hated. Now to be kind, I don't think it was a bad move move unloading Donavan. He had a great year but I cannot honestly say he is in his prime. The man is often injured and being 33 as a qb doesnt make him quick on his feet to say the least. The Eagles dumped him while hes still got some salvage value, picked up what could be key draft picks, and are retooling for the future. I can't hate on them for that. With all that being said, this year is bound to be rough. Eagles got rid of the Heart and Soul of this team in 2 years (Mcnabb, Dawkins, Westbrook). Who is going to lead them.

The Redskins still need to solve their O-line problem, but their moves thus far have been quite smart. Restocking their Rb Core, changing management, Signing Donavan (we will see-Jason Cambell seemed like he was finally in a grove).

Im not worried though. Giants have made some key moves and will be getting some key talent back this year. Hopefully healthy (Boley, Phillips, Andre Brown (Rk), Grant, Canty, Rolle, Ross, Webster) Pretty much the whole Defense which will be ready for whatever the Redskins bring.

My only question is what the hell are the Cowgirls doing? Its been relatively quiet in the D. I think ol Jerry is more concerned with stadium revenue from other events than the success of the Cowboys
