The MAGIC are not MENTALLY TOUGH to win a TITLE!!!!! by Ronald Carthen

I'm so disappointed in the Orlando Magic in their first two home games of this series with the Boston Celtics. I pick them to win the series in seven and now they are on the verge of losing this series and possibly getting swept in Boston. What a way to blow your chances to head back to the finals.

The Magic were down by 11 early in the fourth quarter and just like the last game, they found their spark and made a charge at the Celtics. They went on a 13-4 run to cut Boston's lead to 85-83 with six minutes left in the game. Then I watch the crowd go crazy when Vince Carter hit a jumper to give the Magic a 90-89 with 3:35 left, but that celebration was way too brief when Kevin Garnett made an easy basket to give the Celtics the lead.

How about what happened to Vince Carter after Paul Pierce fouls him and was fouled out of the game with the Magic down 95-92 with 31.9 seconds left. Vince had a chance to play hero and cut the lead to one, but then this happens.

How can you be an 11-year veteran and miss two of the biggest free throws of the season. Come on Vince you are better then that.

Then when Kevin Garnett misses a 20-foot jumper and JJ Reddick gets the rebound with six seconds left to play, he decides to run down the court for three seconds before calling a timeout and and forced the Magic to take the ball beyond halfcourt. Just as you can expect, Jameer Nelson had to shoot a 36-foot three-point jumper that fell short and the Celtics went up 2-0 in the series. That was the first time that the Celtics won the first two road games back-to-back in a playoff series in franchise history.

I feel bad for Dwight Howard after such a great game with 30 points, eight rebounds, and even went 12-of-17 from the free throw line. It's too bad Rashard Lewis, only averaging 5.5 points in this series, and Jameer, who finished with only nine points, were no where to be found in this game.

The Celtics are about to take this series for sure. If they win Game 3, then it's going to be a sweep. If the Magic wins one game in Boston, it will go to six. I just don't see the Magic winning four straight or four out of five games in this series. I have to stick with my Magic pick but I believe it's too little too late.
