Why now Floyd Landis????? by Ronald Carthen

It took Floyd Landis, who had his 2006 Tour de France title taken for doping but denied cheatting, four years for finally admitting using performance-enhancing drugs. Now Landis wants to throw Lance Armstrong and others under the bus. He accuses Lance, American riders Levi Leipheimer and Dave Zabriskie, and Lance's coach Johan Bruyneel for doping as well. Why would you fight for something and you know you cheated all these years? It makes no sense to me at all.

Landis sent out e-mails to cycling officials and sponsors that he started doping in 2002, his first year racing with the U.S. Postal Service team led by Lance. He said he had use of blood-boosting drug EPO, testosterone, human growth hormone and blood transfusions, female hormones, and once he experiment with insulin.

Lance responded to Landis accusations and he's been getting threats from Landis for years and finally told him to do what you have to do and we have nothing to hide. Man Lance I hope you are right on this one.

Who cares if  Landis gets caught with doping, even though he was dumb enough to fight for his innocence when he knew he was guilty, what about Lance's legacy on the line.

If Lance ever gets caught with any sort of PEDs, his career and this sport is in serious trouble. He has been the biggest hero in all of sports for years and the last thing he needs is being guilty for something this serious. The man won Tour de France seven straight times (1999-2005) after being diagnosed with testicular cancer. Coming back from cancer is a very hard thing to do and it would be sad if everything he accomplished in his cycling career could be tainted, except for his battle with cancer.

So why does Floyd want to come out now and say something? It's obvious he wants revenge with Lance and some other cyclists. This is such a bad way to do it and you are tarnishing American athletes in this competitive international sport. Lance has been accused of doping for many years, but I hope this is not a step closer of finding out the ugly truth.

If you think every baseball player caught with steroids is bad, I can't imagine what will happen if Lance is caught. This could hurt all American athletes in all of sports as we know it.
